Olympics begin at 8:08pm today: 8/8/08

The Beijing Olympic Games are scheduled to start at 8:08pm on the date 8/8/08 because the number 8 is considered very lucky in China. The Chinese consider other numbers to be lucky too but the number eight is the luckiest number of all – because it sounds like the Chinese word for prosperity. It sounds very quaint to me. It is rather charming but at the same time it is a very old-fashioned. Obviously, I don't believe in numerology and I'm not at all superstitious. I think a lot of people worry about dates like today and some even consider it might be unlucky rather than lucky. What about you? Do you have any thoughts about today's date? Are you superstitious?
