In 2006, I recommended the Geograph British Isles project on my other blog, Hunkydory Links and today I noticed the Geograph British Isles is in the news because the online project has received its millionth submission. The Hummingbird Lady & "that" famous photo

I was very interested to read one of the latest articles on the Birds & Blooms website that explains how a famous photo was taken of Abigail Alfano (also known as as "The Hummingbird Lady"), feeding hummingbirds from her hand. After reading the article, I discovered Abigail has a website with photos.
