Video of Brit getting American accent lessons
The BBC News Magazine has an amusing article (with video) today called,How not to do an American accent, with British dialect coach Barbara Berkery giving the BBC's Stephen Robb an American accent primer.
I think it's interesting how some people can "do" accents. I can't. My husband can - in fact he can do lots of different accents - Irish, Scots, Welsh, Australian and American. I also find it fascinating how some Americans come to live in the UK and immediately start picking up the local accent. I'm not one of them. In fact, my American accent has barely changed - despite living in England for 21 years!
