I do too. I noticed though that you don't have to live in the countryside to hear most of these noises. I hear the lovely sound of church bells in our town for instance and of course I also hear the lovely sound of bees buzzing in my garden as well as the very annoying sound of buzzing bluebottles. Sometimes, I even hear the soothing sound of clip-clopping of horses going past my house!
The most hated noise on the list for me would be the sound of planes flying overhead. They are indeed disturbing the peace of the Hertfordshire countryside and they fly over our small town increasingly.
I'm an American expatriate, residing in a small town in England.
This blog is about life in England and discussing current events.
I also write about British citizenship equality. This issue affects me personally since my mother is English. The law was finally changed so that I'm able to claim my British citizenship but my eligibility is not automatic as it is for children of British fathers.
I agree with all these! I listened to a few just to confirm that I do love or hate them. xx
