Rough Guide to England is very rough indeed!

Oh dear. The latest Rough Guide to England has certainly not done any favours for English tourism! This is an excerpt of the report about it from the BBC: England is a nation of "overweight, alcopop-swilling, sex- and celebrity-obsessed TV addicts", according to a new tourist guide book. The latest edition of the Rough Guide says no other country is as "insular, self-important and irritating". But in turn none is more "fascinating, beautiful and culturally diverse", with such "an unparalleled range of historic buildings, monuments and landscapes". ____________________________________________________________ Unfortunately, the strong negative views are going to be noticed and remembered for far longer than the complimentary views.
