Congratulations to all the winners last night but especially to Colin Firth and Tom Hooper and David Seidler. Well done!!

It's a shame the Academy Awards show isn't broadcast on terrestrial tv here. I did see a bit of the show via streaming on the internet but it didn't work very well. I learned most of what was happening on the show via Twitter. It was actually quite entertaining to read some of the funny tweets about the show!

What did you think of the show? Were you pleased with the results?

  1. Sorry I'm a bit late with this comment!
I think that this was a popular and well deserved win all round.
I wouldn't bother watching it even if I could as it's all glitz! I prefer reading, or watching, specific articles which I find much more informative and interesting.

  2. You are so right. It was a very popular and well-deserved win!

I realize the awards show doesn't appeal to everyone but I think it's fun to watch. I enjoyed reading all the tweets about it which helped make up for my not being able to watch it.
