Have your say on the Programme for Government.
The Coalition: our programme for government.
This programme is a historic document in British politics – it’s the first time in over half a century that two parties have come together to prepare joint plans in this way.
This website gives you the opportunity to enter public discussion on the programme. You can comment until the end of Thursday June 10th.
I hope the new Government will actually read all the comments and pay attention to the issues that need to be addressed. I used the site to comment on the discrimination against children of British mothers regarding British citizenship. I am hopeful that this Government will address the blatant inequality in the Borders, Immigration & Citizenship Act.
This is a fantastic opportunity to let the new Government know what you think and to discuss any concerns you have.

I commented, and like you hope that they not only read them but act of some of the issues raised. Flighty xx
ReplyDeleteWell done, Flighty. Yes, it will be interesting to see if they pay attention to the comments people make. Let's hope so!!
ReplyDeleteIt is a shame that the number10.gov.uk petition was closed without the required number of signatures. The plight of the children of UK mothers appears to be poorly understood by the majority of people and therefore provokes little sympathy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me that the petition is closed now. It is a real shame that we got so few signatures.
ReplyDeleteI agree that our plight is poorly understood. Sadly, I've found that most Brits don't seem to care. I guess discrimination is ok as long as it doesn't affect them.
