A Blackbird called "Swoops" attacks people in San Francisco
I saw a report on the news last night about this blackbird:
SF Bird Attacks Causing Big Flap
A blackbird in San Francisco's Financial District has gained international attention and is attracting crowds in the city for repeatedly swooping down on unsuspecting passersby.

A website called Attack Bird Chronicles has even been set up!
It's amusing to see how one bird can terrorize so many people and become a world-wide attraction in the process.

That's what's called a non-news story I believe. They tend to appear when there's little real news.
ReplyDeleteBirds attacks like that aren't uncommon! xx
I think it's the way this particular story was reported and the fact that someone created a blog about the bird, that makes it interesting.
ReplyDeleteBetween this story, twitter, and that flock of birds at Jacob's Field yesterday that won a game for the Cleveland Indians when a ball hit one of the birds causing the ball to go past the center fielder, I'm thinking that the birds are taking us over. Hopefully, though their leader isn't the bird lying dead outside my house....poor fellow, he ran straight into my living room window!
ReplyDeleteLOL - The way you tell it, it does seem like the birds are taking over! I think the bird that died after crashing into your window is another story altogether though. LOL
ReplyDeleteGood on that bird. Get those humans!
