The mayor of London,Boris Johnson, backs Obama

The mayor of London, Boris Johnson backs Barack Obama to become the next US president. This is news-worthy because Mr Johnson is from the Conservative Party and the Conservatives traditionally support the Republicans. John McCain is the presidential nominee of the Republican Party in the 2008 presidential election. Barack Obama is the presidential nominee of the Democratic Party in the 2008 United States presidential election. The link to the (excellent) article is from today's Daily Telegraph: Barack Obama: Why I believe he should be the next President By Boris Johnson

  1. Wow, first Colin Powell, now Boris Johnson! When's Kim Jong-il going to jump on the bandwagon?!?

  2. Very funny!

I know you are being facetious but I think it's amazing to see how Barack Obama is gaining such widespread support among Republicans, and now we read that the (Conservative) mayor of London has expressed his support too.

  4. Hi Ruby, You're right! For those who don't know, the Telegraph is also known as the "Torygraph" on account of its obvious support for the Conservative Party. (Tory is another word for Conservatives) Very interesting, indeed!

I sincerely hope Obama will become the next president.
