I think the BAFTAs is a much bet...I agree with you. I think the BAFTAs is a much better show than the Oscars too. Mind you, I only get to see highlights (probably the best way!)from the Oscars on the news because I don't subscribe to the cable/satellite channels. I prefer watching the BAFTAs anyway. Thank goodness it's broadcast on the BBC.

Yes, I thought Emma Watson looked lovely too. She's grown up and turned into quite a beautiful young lady. I think Livia Firth(Colin's wife) looked very gorgeous too!

Yep. I so agree. The King's Speech is a perfect movie and deserved all its awards.Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05594795794677984027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6492893503803541461.post-2045351103504395882011-02-14T15:42:04.558+00:002011-02-14T15:42:04.558+00:00I did watch it and loved it. So much better than ...I did watch it and loved it. So much better than the Oscars, in my opinion. The Baftas always seem to be about the movies, whereas the Oscars have become more about artistic politics and glitz.

But, speaking of glitz, I thought Emma Watson looked lovely!

The King's Speech was perfect in every single way. It deserves every award it wins, and then some.Pamela Terry and Edwardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12746603636884819522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6492893503803541461.post-29674229020221219472011-02-14T15:03:37.713+00:002011-02-14T15:03:37.713+00:00You're so right, Flighty. The King's Speech was the popular, and right, choice for winning so many awards.

Wow - that is very cool that you actually met Christopher Lee! I've never met him but he seems like a true gentleman indeed. I agree with you - he's very deserving of his special award honouring him with his long career in the film business.Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05594795794677984027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6492893503803541461.post-89031771681408530712011-02-14T09:28:32.501+00:002011-02-14T09:28:32.501+00:00I didn't watch it but I agree that The King...I didn't watch it but I agree that The King's Speech was the popular, and right, choice for the awards.
I once met Christopher Lee who was imposing and a real gentlemen.
