Her voice is stunning. I did watch one of the Andrew Lloyd Webber shows, "How To Solve A Problem Like Maria?", which found Connie Fisher fame as the new Maria in a West End production of "The Sound of Music". You're right, Hollie Steel would have been a perfect contestant for a show like that. It does seem like Simon doesn't really like musical theatre or maybe it was just the song he disliked. I did agree with Simon though about his criticism of the dancing and the ballet costume. Hollie is a gifted singer and should stick to singing not dancing.Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05594795794677984027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6492893503803541461.post-19538596909479256942009-04-27T15:37:00.000+01:002009-04-27T15:37:00.000+01:00This series is really proving to be special! Just like Susan Boyle, she has a beautiful voice that would be excellent for musical theatre! Did you watch the Andrew Lloyd Webber talent search programs in previous years (I'd Do Anything, Any Dream Will Do, Maria)? I always wondered why they didn't do a fourth one to find a talented little girl--Hollie Steel would have been a perfect contestant! I don't think Simon likes musical theatre very much though...he certainly didn't like Hollie's song choice even if he did appreciate her singing!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6492893503803541461.post-54046453931334733302009-04-26T11:50:00.000+01:002009-04-26T11:50:00.000+01:00Jenny, I agree that it will be a close run thing, ...Jenny, I agree that it will be a close run thing, especially when you consider that it's still early in the competition.Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05594795794677984027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6492893503803541461.post-83340233645958178812009-04-26T09:43:00.000+01:002009-04-26T09:43:00.000+01:00I think they are both excellent - very talented an...I think they are both excellent - very talented and it will be a close run thing.Jennytchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13621488409334115930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6492893503803541461.post-944554567816272982009-04-25T23:03:00.000+01:002009-04-25T23:03:00.000+01:00So you think that Susan Boyle is a gifted singer a...So you think that Susan Boyle is a gifted singer and someone people will pay to hear but that Hollie isn't. I think Hollie Steel is a gifted singer too although perhaps she won't be destined for fame and fortune right away - like Susan will - because Hollie is still so young. Mind you, Hollie still has a good chance of winning Britain's Got Talent. She's an incredibly good singer and the fact that she's such a sweet little girl is bound to make her very popular too.Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05594795794677984027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6492893503803541461.post-84744661580839638932009-04-25T22:15:00.000+01:002009-04-25T22:15:00.000+01:00Hollie = a featured performer in a recital for stu...Hollie = a featured performer in a recital for students in a performing arts school.<br />Susan = a gifted singer for whom people will pay to hear.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
